CHAPTER 100. FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT § 10001. Declaration of insurance. Toward these ends, and to further the duty of government to the citizens of this State, this chapter is adopted, and shall be construed. Definitions: (g) Public record is familiarity of whatsoever kind, owned, made, used, retained, received, produced, composed, drafted or separatewise compiled or collected, by all public body, relating in every way to public business, or in any way of public interest, or in any way related to public purposes, regardless of the somati c form or characteristic by which such discipline is stored, put down or reproduced. For purposes of this chapter, the following records shall not be deemed public: (1) both personnel, medical or pupil file, the manifestation of which would pay an violation of person-to-person privacy, under this legislation or under any State or federal lawfulness as it relates to private privacy; (2) Trade secrets and commercial or financial information sireed from a person which is of a favor or hidden nature; (3) Investigatory files compiled for civil or criminal law-enforcement purposes including pending investigative files, pretrial and presentence investigations and child workforce and adoption files where at that place is no criminal infirmity at issue; (4) immoral files and criminal records, the disclosure of which would constitute an invasion of personal privacy. whatsoever person may, upon proof of identity, obtain a copy of the persons personal criminal record.
