Socrates was wise simply because he knew that he was ignorant. He quickly questioned and wondered incredulously about the oracles answer, thinking that sure he himself couldnt be the wisest being on Earth. He knew that he [had] no claim to wisdom. Those he subsequently interviewed all claimed and believed to have a large amount of absolutely level knowledge and/or wisdom. Because they believed that they beaty knew and were fully correct in whatever they claimed to know, and did not at all aknowledge the concomitant that they may know nothing at all, they were fools.
We should all make up and understand that, truly, we know absolutely nothing for sure. We must let go of our potentially false assumptions and our egos, and admit to the fact that every or all of our knowledge could hold no truth. Does for each one one of us (are there even others, signifi throw outtly, outside of our hold minds?) even know for absolute certain that our lives are real?
Perhaps everything and everyone we think we see and interact with around us is simply in our heads, completely fabricated how can we be certain? The answer has already been given to us by Socrates we cant know, and to assume otherwise makes us dispiritedly unwise.
Wisdom cannot be chased through supposed facts and stats.
