The subject matter of this sonnet is Power.
The king was boastful, as seen, My give ear is Ozymandias,kings of kings; / look on my works ye Mighty, and despair but has been ironic tout ensembley disproved. Ozymandiass work has been ruined over time and he has do sourceless. The original king he claimed to be has become a statue, powerless and still, and he has been stripped off all his might. The ruined state of the statue signifies how power does not ultimately incessantly . The empire that Ozymandias has once controlled, has changed into a vast desert of smooth and lifeless objects, Nothing beside remains. Round the decay/ Of the colossal wreck, immeasurable and bare/ The lone and level sands stretch further away. Even though we might once been of a high power and reign above others, someday we entrust go to the bottom in a helpless state.  Ozymandias excessively symbolizes political power. Although he once gained the respect of the people, he is promptly only the statue is a symbol of  pride in good-will because he took advantage of his power in the past, Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,/ and wrinked lips, and sneer of cold command.
through ozymandias cold and prideful words as thoroughly as appearance, it can be inferred that he took advantage of his power and ordered the people.
Now, ozymandias is only a ruler of air that is now a mere statue and work of art. This sonnet shows that work of humanities and words can outlast the legacies of power, no matter how proud they once were. The words and art can only place his achievements and powers, however in actual fact, his power is not retained, as he cannot rule the people anymore.
