The process of Experiential Learning described by David Kolb consists of tetrad stages starting with Concrete Experience which emphasis on dynamic participation in relation to other mass and scholarship exist. In this stage a learner is very sane and adaptive. It is followed by pensive Observation stage which makes learner to get a line to different points of view and discover meaning in the learnedness material. The third stage is of Abstract Conceptualisation which emphasis on application of logic and thoughts to the acquire material. And last is Active experiment which involves testing theories, carrying out plans and influencing people and events through activities. According to the causation the principles of learning are different for different age people and he also adds that nobody learns the particular work without having any experience or ideas regarding that particular task. He relates learning as relearning. Kolb also said that adults have different learning styles because of their working life experiences and their ideas and knowledge which they have before learning.





Raelin and Coghlan added that if the stage of Reflective Opportunity which consists of listening to the different points of view is combined with the interoperable life experience then it can reformulate the assertion and makes it simple for the learner. In addition to this Knowles has also investigated about the learning process of adults and relates it to the term Andragogy which is defined as an art and erudition of adults learning and is also known as learner-focussed education in contrast with Pedagogy which is defined as art and erudition of educating children and is also known as teacher-focussed education.
