Robert smith 10-7-2010 Spelman College Museum of Fine Art On October 5, 2010 I attended the Spelman College Museum of Fine Art. It was approximately 3:00 p.m. I walked over there by myself with my notebook and pen for notes. The gallery is located on Spelmans campus. The museum was larger than our art gallery. As I entered the gallery, I had to take my throng off because they were prohibited inside. There was a woman running(a) at the front desk. Her name was Ms. Gobert. The tour was unguided. I had to do everything on my own like I am utilize to. The museum was lavishly decorated and organized. Whoever placed the museum took their time. Everything was in place and the museum was tidy. music was playing as I strolled through the museum. It made me retrieve relaxed and comfortable. There were pictures everywhere in the there. They where painted black and gabardine. They were clouded which made them appear to be three demensional. Most African American artists use that style of art when painting. The pictures I motto where of some good and some bad. First I apothegm mugshots of black men and women holding up their jail numbers. thus I came across where four pictures of men being lynched from trees by white people.

I became astonished at the details the artist used. The rope that was used had rips on it and I could see the charge in those poor peoples face. I entangle sorry for the people. I can only imagine what was loss on in their mind as they experienced their make it moments at life. Walking away from the pictures I grabbed my throat and rubbed it gently. In addition, I saw pictures of black people being discrimated against by white people. They were sprayed with hoses, locked up, bit by police dogs, and hit by cops with bats. I dont know what made white people dislike black people back in the day. What did we do wrong?
